Welcome to the tropics! As the weather gets warmer and summer is peaking around the corner, well, let’s just say I’m getting tired of warm drinks. Taco Bell has been releasing a lot of new menu items recently, and now, the brand is back at it again with the Dragonfruit Freeze, a sweet summery slush drink with a pretty pink and white color scheme. If anything, I’d love to be sitting on the beach somewhere drinking a Dragonfruit Freeze, umbrella up, lounging in a beach chair. It would definitely beat being up in the mountains taking classes at 9 AM… but, at least I can still drink a Dragonfruit Freeze in my apartment with the heat blasting.
What is the Dragonfruit Freeze?
The slushy drink first released in 2020, but hasn't been seen since then, but now it’s back on Taco Bell menus once again. The Dragonfruit Freeze is a dragon fruit-flavored slushed drink with a white dragon fruit base and a pinkish red swirl through it. You can also get a slush without the swirl through it, if that’s what you prefer.
What does the Dragonfruit Freeze taste like?
I went ahead and tried the drink myself, and I have to say, it’s very good. It has a nice tropical fruity flavor and packs a punch without being too strong. It’s a bit tangy and very sweet, which personally I think pairs perfectly with the Chalupa Supremes I had it with. It’s a taste of summer, and I appreciate that during these gloomy times.
How can I get a Dragonfruit Freeze?
This item is available nationwide at a Taco Bell near you. A regular is $3.39 and a large is $3.59. It’s available only for a limited time so swing by and have a taste before it leaves menus once again.
