Everyone loves a heaping bowl of loaded mashed potatoes, but nothing gets you in the Thanksgiving spirit quite like sweet potatoes. Our friends over at Foodbeast found a way to combine these two dishes into one carb-loaded but oh so good dish that will hold you over until Thanksgiving. Or feel free to bring this to your family dinner and impress the heck out of your great grandmother.

Loaded Mashed Sweet Potatoes

    Ingredients

  • 2 40-oz. cans sweet potatoes in syrup, semi-drained
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream
  • 1 pinch green onions
  • Crumbled bacon
  • Shredded chedder
  • Step 1

    Throw semi-drained sweet potatoes into a pot and boil off the remaining liquids. Cook the potatoes and mash them together until you get a soft consistency.

    Add milk and sour cream and stir until evenly mixed.

    Throw in diced onions, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheddar to your preference and mix well. Top with additional bacon pieces and a bit of cheddar and onions.
